Bread Machine Cinnamon Rolls

These are the most DELICIOUS cinnamon rolls I have ever made. And by far the easiest. The entire bun tastes like the middle of a perfect roll. Sweet, gooey and warm. They don't have that hard crust on the outside, and personally I really don't like that with a cinnamon roll. It just doesn't have an appealing texture. The best part about these buns is that once you have one, you will not be able to resist another. Trust me, they are that good. If your looking to impress, make these asap!

Soft, gooey cinnamon rolls
12 servings

Dough:

1 cup milk (I used skim)
1 egg beatan
4 tablespoons melted butter
4 tablespoons water
1/2 (3.5 ounce package) vanilla pudding mix. I used half a pack of Jell-o's instant vanilla pudding mix
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 cups all purpose flour (Canada, american use Bread flour)
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
2 1/4 teaspoons bread machine yeast (I used Fleischmann's yeast)

Filling:

1/3 cup softened butter or margarine
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
*you can add nuts or raisins if desired)

Frosting:

125 grams (4 ounces) softened cream cheese
1/4 cup softened butter or margarine
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Put first 9 ingredients (dough ingredients) into your bread machine in the correct order above, making sure the yeast doesn't touch the salt or liquids. Select the "dough" cycle.

Combine filling ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.

Once the cycle is complete, knead the dough on a well floured surface for 3-5 minutes. Roll out the dough into a large rectangle until about 1/2 inch thick. Or until desired thickness.

Spread the filling all over the dough, covering as much as possible. Next roll up the dough into a log and gently pinch the seams. Or tuck underneath.

Using dental floss divide the dough in half, then the halves into thirds, and the thirds into halves. You should end up with 12 pieces. Sorry about the fractions! ;)

Place the cut rolls into a 13x9 pan. It can be greased or non greased. My dish was glass and the buns didn't stick without greasing.

Place in a draft free zone and let the rolls rise for 1 hour. They should double in size.

Pre heat oven 350 degrees and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.

While the buns are baking beat softened cream cheese and butter. Add vanilla and 1/2 cup powdered sugar. Beat. Add remaining sugar 1/2 at a time until smooth.

Top the warm buns with the glaze and serve.

I hope you enjoy this recipe! It has me hooked!
